Q4 2024 Events Proposal

This proposal is a simplified version of the full 2024 Akash events proposal that passed as a signaling proposal in December of 2023. This also includes the increased budget that passed in the Q3 event proposal. Github Discussions.

Tier one events remain the same with a budget of: $161,417.09 USD
Tier two events remain the same with a budget of: $48,261.53 USD

For Q4, these are the events selected:

1. Ray Summit - Tier 1
2. Permissionless - Tier 2
3. Cosmoverse - Tier 1
4. DevCon 7 - Tier 2
5. NeurIPS - Tier 1

Requirements for Q4 2024: $580,774.33
Shortfall / Surplus from previous quarters: -$109,517
Total community pool request for Q4 2024: $690,291.33

Shortfalls can be attributed to 2 main causes:

1. ~$60k - AKT price decreasing (Q2 request: $5.15, Q3 request: $2.89, Current: $2.23).
2. ~$50k - Korea Blockchain Week addition of sponsorship + side event.

  • Approval for the full funding amount and
  • Authorize the community pool to disburse 309,547.68 AKT ($690,291.33) for event funding to a publicly visible wallet.
• By voting NO, you disagree that community pool resources should be used for event funding.
• By voting ABSTAIN, you express no opinion on the matter.
